With the recent trends of companies downsizing and merging, its no wonder so many people are turning to other alternatives and creating their own dream jobs working from home.

Be aware and guard yourself against fly by night businesses that promise easy money with minimal work. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

It is also good to be aware of scams that promise you the world, charge you a small fortune (this amount will vary according to your financial resources so don't allow yourself to be sucked in).

When setting up your own home based business, you must make very sure that you are associating yourself with the right kind of people. If the people you associate with are difficult to work with, create havoc, don't follow through on what they promise, you will be associated with this sort of business practice.

You will need to build your business up slowly as you go. It won't happen overnight, but with discipline and perseverance you will succeed in your home based business. Do not give up, remember that it takes time to build up your clientele.

If you feel you aren't getting anywhere, change your strategy and revamp your plan. Set small goals and cross them off as you achieve them. Keeping yourself going like this will help you to see that you are accomplishing something.

It may take a few months to see a break through but once you see it it will expand phenomenally!

You can do this, but only if you dare to try.

So, you've signed up for several GPT sites. Now you are trying hard to make lots of money. Make sure to use valid information. In order to prevent fraud you have to do your part.

You are seeing some money coming in via your survey's and offers that you have completed. However, you are on so many sites that repeat offers that you are not making a whole lot of money and you are not getting any referral's. So what can you do to make more money and get more referral's?

Put up flyer's all around your town and any town you happen through. Print out business cards with your referral numbers on them and hand them out everywhere and leave them everywhere you go. Take advantage of sites that have paid to click ads and add in your own paid to click ad. When people ask you where you work share with them how easy your job is and hand them a business card with your referral number on it. Put an ad in a newspaper include your referral number and send them to the website you make the most on.

After perusing many of the sites, here are a few of my recommendations:
The list of sites below have been in business for a very long time and have consistently paid on time and even early in many cases. They offer great referral rewards and have a zero fraud tolerance policy. I will be adding more in a future post. By limiting the number of sites you are on and concentrating on getting referral's to those few sites you are maximizing your potential for earnings.

I have more sites but in order to keep from overwhelming this post I will add them in a future post. So far with the above sites I am making enough money to help my family buy groceries each month and still pay a few bills. Hang in there and keep up the great work.

Okay, so I was looking for some quick paying sites and low and behold I found this one! They pay really really fast and it is very easy to earn on this site. Check them out if you are in a hurry for some quick paying offers! They pay within 5 hours if you are using pay pal and the best part is that there is no minimum pay out if you are using pay pal. The minimum pay out for a paper check is $10. I love this site! I had my first pay out within a very short time and it was really super easy to earn the credits.

Summer

So summer has arrived at long last and here we are, still plugging away at home on the computer instead of out enjoying the bright shining sun and our families.

Not me! My residual income is building and I am able to just check in a few minutes each day and be on with my day. I am still writing some articles and submitting those. I am still doing my paid to clicks and an offer here or there on a GPT site but for the most part I am enjoying my summer.

How I was recently asked? The first thing I have are referral's. Basically when someone signs up under you they become a referral and you get a percentage of their earnings. The next thing is I have set up a system for my PTC sites and for my GPT sites. I log in first thing in the morning while I sip my coffee and go through the paid to click sites. I open them and peruse them for new leads of quality income. After I go through those I check the GPT sites for new offers. If there aren't any new offers I skip that site that day and go on to the next site.

Lastly I update any writing sites I have. On Helium I rate for about 1/2 hour twice per day. If I have written any new articles I get those submitted on Helium, AC and Triond and then I am off on my day.

It works very simply and efficiently for me. The more articles I submit the more residual income I get. In addition to any upfront payments and magazine articles that are purchased for that time frame.

Set yourself up on a mini schedule, but remember to remain flexible and easy going about it. The point of working from home is to be able to enjoy your family so don't stress out about the little things.

Keep up the good work and before you know it you will be earning way more than you realized.

Different by Design

Working from home is different by design. You have more freedom to do what you wish when you wish, but you have to be committed to setting goals and following through in order to maintain your income.

Its very easy to get sidetracked and not accomplish what you have set out to accomplish. For myself, I set small goals and have a loosely woven schedule that is easy to adjust to a different part of my day if need be.

When we work from home we are often looked upon as if we don't work at all. That is a very dangerous position to put ourselves in. It is easy to look outside and want to "go play" instead of complete our tasks.

It is helpful to watch the weather and plan your schedule accordingly. If it is going to be a super nice day and you want to go and play, set up some smaller tasks to accomplish throughout the day and go in and out. That way you are still working and contributing to your home income without losing all of it by playing.

Internet Explorer VS Firefox

As a veteran on GPT/PTC sites I have noticed that most of the sites recommend that you do the offers from Explorer. Since I work mostly from Firefox I continued on "my way". Recently we upgraded one of our computers here at home and I had an icon at the bottom of my screen for both Internet Explorer and Firefox. I decided to do an experiment.

I opened up Explorer and one site, and Firefox and a different site. I began to do some offers. I patiently waited for confirmation and as expected, 5 out of 6 offers credited from Explorer while only 3 out of 6 offers credited from Firefox.

So for those Firefox diehards out there like me, it does "PAY" to use Internet Explorer when you want to credit more offers.

Hang in there and keep up the great work my friends. Together we will eliminate debt and build our incomes one offer at a time.

Referral's and Traffic

A frequent question is how to get traffic to your blog or website and how to get more referral's on your ptc and gpt sites.

I have found some great ways to accomplish both of these in one fell swoop.

First, sign up with a social network. I personally like mylot (see link in left hand column). They always have some great discussions going on. There are discussions on which gpt and ptc sites are generating the most money as well as other sites that folks have located that seem to work. Whatever you are looking for in a money generating site, mylot will most likely have a discussion going on about it. If not, start your own discussion and see what transpires. Oh, did I mention you get paid for being on mylot? Yup! You can't lose with this one.

Next is clixsense. You can join for free but I highly recommend getting a paid membership. You will get more ads and you will recoup your $10 yearly investment in no time. You can keep your earnings or you can turn them into advertising. They pay out automatically at $10 each month or you can set your minimum payment higher. If you turn them into advertising you can choose what you advertise. Example: Your favorite GPT site (lets just say Cash Crate to keep this simple) has a referral contest going on. You might want to advertise your Cash Crate referral site on Clixsense that month. By showing your advertisements on clixsense you may get more referral's than you would have had you just put up flyers around town.

Next idea: in your signature line of your e-mails add in your referral links and your blog or website. Think about how many family members and friends you e-mail daily, weekly or monthly. Free advertising and you may find a lot of new referral's that way.

Flyers are always great as are business cards. Be creative. Make your own flyers with your referral information on them and print out your own business cards with your site, blog or favorite gpt or ptc referral links. Leave them everywhere. Restaurants, phone booths, anywhere that you go that has a counter, leave a card.

If you are on Helium and/or Associated Content put your referral links in your personal bio's and such. Include them in your article whenever possible (be careful on this...you can't use them in every article but you can add them in a few or put them in as referral links for your information). If you are not on Helium and/or Associated Content and you like to write, check out my referral links in the left column. They each pay out differently but both can be very lucrative.

Link Referral programs. There are several link referral programs and link exchanges out there. Try one or try many and see how many visits you get to your site.

Keep your sites full of fresh content and remember to continually check to make sure your site is working properly.

New Beginnings

A friend of mine recently began working from home. She wanted to earn some extra money and stay at home for her family.

We began with her signing up for 3 GPT sites (Cash Crate, Deal Barbie Pays and Fairy Tale Treasure....links are to left and below if you wish to join) and Clixsense so that she would have some free advertising to begin her referral's. She also joined mylot to join in on discussions that would interest her as well as continue advertising.

To her delight, within hours she had referral's as well as income coming in. We also decided to add Inbox dollars (again links to left).

Within a few short weeks she was at payout in 2 of the GPT sites and near that in the other 2 sites. She upgraded her Clixsense account in order to maximize her advertising potential and added a blog to help advertise even more.

She started this venture without a penny. She is now earning payout on at least 2 sites per month as well as earning advertising.

So, if you think its impossible to earn money online, I ask you to think again. Have you sincerely tried? Or are you wandering through sites doing an offer here and an offer there and wondering why you aren't making the big bucks?

I encourage you to sign up to 3 to 6 GPT sites, add Clixsense for advertising and mylot for a social network. Set yourself up an advertising blog and work each site for at least 1/2 hour per day. Within a very short time you will be earning money online and on your way to some financial relief.

More Free Money

By now you have several GPT sites you are working on. You have ways to get referral's (see postings below on Clixsense and Marketing Pond if you are new to this site and needing referral's).

Do you have your own website set up? Or perhaps a blog? If not, it is time to get one set up. You can use many different ones (just google free websites or free blogs) or use blogspot.com like I have set up here.

Add your referral banners and some interesting content. Add some adsense code and check out adbrite. These will give you a slow but steady income and you will have spurts of sudden activity where you will earn even more online money via the ads that they have on your site. You get to choose your own ads from them and if you don't like a specific ad you can get it changed.

Include your referral sources such as Clixsense and Marketing pond and you are in business. But don't just stop there. Keep adding content and information. Before you know it your income will double and increase and you will be paying off those bills and saving your money for a rainy day.

Not bad for a work at home business that you started on a shoe string budget. Keep up the great work!

I love the word FREE!!!!

Another great way to add referral's is through Marketing pond. If you aren't familiar with it basically you sign up and if you aren't already on certain sites sign up for those sites you sign up and add our referral URL to the list. Advertise Marketing pond and those that sign in under you will add their id's to the listing. Eventually you will get referral's this way. I have a banner posted at the bottom of the page however, I could not get the link to work properly so I have listed the correct URL underneath of it. I know it looks rather unofficial, but I am working on it (If anyone has any suggestions I welcome them! LOL) I have also included the link below:

Adding Referral's

I have been adding a lot of referral's to my GPT sites (thank you!). I have noticed a definite increase in income as these referral's start working on their own income. I have been getting some questions on adding referral's so here are some tips for you:

Join a site like mylot and talk about earning money and your favorite GPT sites. Be careful, if you put the link directly in the discussion they will often delete the entire discussion. To avoid that set up your own blog or website with links there and refer people to your profile page where you can have your website or blog. You can also put referral links on your profile page. Also join in on discussions about various sites and money making opportunities. You may be surprised and find new sites and you may wind up with a lot of referral's.

Another way is to post flyers around your town with a direct link for your favorite GPT. Print them out and post them at a library, grocery store or coffee house, anywhere that there are bulletin boards for public use is fair game.

Clix sense is another great way to gain referral's. Join the site and click away, then convert your earnings to PTC ads and list your referral links.

Post links in your e-mail signature and send a cheery e-mail to your friends.

Send personal invites to anyone looking for more income. When you are chatting in the grocery store line and someone is complaining about prices tell them how you are earning more money and offer to send them a link.

Talk it up wherever you are. This is your business and you have to market it yourself. There are many great inexpensive ways to do this. Be creative and you will soon have more referral's. Be sure to encourage your referral's to seek their own referrals. This will help them to continue earning money and you too in the long run.

Taking the Plunge

So you've finally done it. You have decided that you are going to work from home. Where are you going to begin? How much money do you plan to earn? Will you set a schedule? Will you telecommute to work? What are your goals?

When you first decide to work from home you may have many many questions as you make the transition. Working from home is not for everyone.

Here is how I make it work for me.

I have chosen companies that I know work well for me. As I steadily earn an income from these companies I have added banners and/or buttons or links in the side bar and at the bottom of this site. If the banner or button is there, I have consistently earned $50 from each of these companies. I have a relaxed schedule, but there are certain things I do each day (see postings below to see an average day for me).

Of course, I earn more from some of these companies than I do from others. My monthly income varies slightly in that I sometimes will let an account sit for a month and concentrate on another account that has a huge incetive that month.

I have created my own job by utilizing the opportunities placed before me. I job coach a few for a minimal fee and as time permits I continue to add opportunities to this site.

With so many opportunities out there, you too can succeed working from home. Its just a matter of selecting the best opportunities for you and running with them. Aren't you tired of making someone else rich?

Busy Month!

Whew! I can breathe today! I have been busy on Fairytale Treasure in a contest (I'm pleased to say I was among the winners) and writing up a storm on AC and Helium. Helium has a great "Rewardathon" going on and for every article published between January 7, 2008 and April 14, 2008 you will earn monetary prizes. That is providing you have at least one writing star and 3 rating stars. But don't worry, if you try to submit an article per day and rate for a few minutes each day you will have lots of stars and be in the contest! If you are interested I have a link in the left column or you can send me your e-mail address and I will send you a personal invite.

Of course, if you are submitting as non exclusive on AC you can dual submit to other sites as well. Thus, I have been writing up a storm.

Clix Sense is doing well and I made payout again. As well as payout on Fairytale Treasure and of course, AC and Helium I am well on my way this month to a great year. I haven't done much on Cash Crate this month but my referrals have been busy (Thank you!). I have been paid several times this month by Opinion Outpost and Cash Lagoon (if you are looking for a daily payout, Cash Lagoon is the place to check! I have added a lot to my income via this route and its quick and easy) also! I'm enjoying Mylot too and nearer to payout on there. I love joining in on the various discussions. Routine

Are you setting a daily goal to make a certain amount of money? Are you achieving your goal? How much money are you making per day? Setting goals and achieving them gives you a great sense of accomplishment.

I have a routine I follow each day when I log onto the internet. I check my e-mail first to see if any of my GPT offers have credited from the previous day. If they haven't I go into the site and check carefully to see if perhaps I had already done said offer or I did not complete the offer correctly. I also check for new offers at this time and complete those if I have the time. It all really depends on the day.

I go in and do my daily surveys on my survey sites. Then I go to my PTC sites and go through those. Lastly I go to my writing sites to see if I have had any offers and what I have made on those sites.

I answer my correspondence including any questions I have from my blogs and then I take a break.

How long does all of this take? Generally only an hour or two at the most. Then I am ready for my first break.

Working from home is a great way to make a living providing my family with my presence while I am still available to make money.

Since I love to write I tend to concentrate on my writing sites the most. The other sites are just gravy for me.

I love my life this way. I can take time out to go to my kids games, attend girl scouts with my daughter or do volunteer work. Along with the typical housecleaning and laundry chores I still have time to make money and be an at home mom.

Of course some days tend to be busier with outside activities taking up more of my time than usual such as dr appointments and such. But all in all I just schedule around those and work towards my goals of earning extra money and working from home. After all, thats what working from home is all about. Being able to work on my own schedule and still earn money while being available for my family.

How Often Should I Blog?

Okay, so now you have your blog site all set up. You are posting now and again and you have some banners on your site to promote some of your GPT sites and other sites. You have set up your google adsense ads and you might also have set up some adbrite. Now what should you do? How often should you blog?

The key here is to blog. Keep writing and posting. The more you post the more likely your site is to be crawled by the spiders and promoted. The more you type the more you become proficient at it and the more you find that you have to write about.

Continue adding your site to the various sites that crawl and add links to your sites in all forums you are on as well as your personal e-mail address and anything else that you do online. Spreading the word and getting your site out there is the key to increasing your viewers.

Have fun and try to add to your site at least once a week if not more.

Hard work and diligence is what truly pays off. On my writing sites (listed in the left column) I have learned that you get residual income for what you write. That is on top of what you earn up front for publishing your article. Folks, this is as close as it gets to doing nothing and earning the big bucks. If you truly want to make money, you have to work hard at it and put yourself into it. You are only going to get out of something what you are willing to put into it. If you are trying to earn money on survey sites or Paid To Click sites, you have to make the effort and apply yourself daily. In addition to that it helps to get a lot of referrals and to encourage your referrals to get referrals. To keep the income growing you need to continually gain new referrals and write about it on your blog or website. Share your goals and dreams and help others to attain theirs.

There are many referral link exchanges out there as well as social forums where you can gain new referrals. Don't give up until you have reached your dream.

You can do this and make it work. Just keep at it and you will gain more confidence and you will gain more and more referrals. Getting out of debt doesn't have to be a stressful thing in your life. Keep working towards your goal and don't give up hope.

In this day and age there is hardly anyone that does not know that SEO stands for Search Engine Optimizers. So why are there so many successful new books, E-books and articles being written about them? The reason? Because people are fascinated that just a few wisely placed words will kick the search engines into gear and locate their website. Working from home in this day and age is very appealing. Not only to the younger set, but the older set as well. It gives us a freedom that we never had working for someone else. It gives us a choice about our lives. By learning some great SEO's and placing them in the best places we are getting more and more hits to our sites and creating another multiple stream of income for ourselves. Working from home has many great benefits. The first of course being the shortest commute possible to our employment. Some of my regular visitors will notice that I have added a button for Opinion Outpost. I love this site. If you want some quick and easy cash, then this is the survey site for you. November Review

I had a great month in November with my working online businesses. I cashed out in Clix Sense, Cash Crate, Fairytale Treasure, Deal Barbie Pays and of course I earned over $100 on Associated Content. I also love going to Mylot and joining in on the discussions. Its great to earn money for talking. :) I'm so glad that I found these great sites. It is really helping our income and helping us to become debt free. I am constantly finding things to write about on Associated Content and Helium. I have really found some great niche site marketing out there too. To anyone who is struggling, I urge you to read back through my posts and glean all that I have written. This can work for you with minimal effort and its a great side income or if you need it to be a full time income you can make it work for you too.

Clix Sense is my favorite advertising site (see two previous posts for more details) and I will be introducing some other favorites in the next several postings.

For those of you that read my blog frequently I have added a few more blogs. If you go to my profile and click "View My Complete Profile" at the lower right of the profile it lists more blogs I have. I added one about my family's diseases and why I am home with them. I also added one on Psalm 121. I have found such comfort in that Chapter of the Bible. I wanted to share it with all of my readers. Wow...it seems like just yesterday that I posted about Clix Sense on here. My visits to this site have tripled since I have added Clix Sense to my advertisers. Not only that, I have referrals coming in and actually being interested in what they are doing. Clix Sense is a great boost to my advertising budget and I am very glad that I made that first click and signed up with them. Since starting with them I have enhanced this site and my other blogs as well as increased my revenue. You can do this too. One of my favorite things is free advertising! In getting my home business off of the ground I have tried many different ways to advertise. But I found a secret. Yup. Since I found my secret I have tripled my referral's and am well on my way to financial freedom! I signed up with Clix Sense. Things moved along slowly. Working from home has given me so much more opportunity than I had working in an office. I get to spend more time with my family, I get to set my own hours and priorities and If I want to take a day off, I can do it without penalty. What better deal than that? How many of you can say that? I pick and choose the companies that I work with and if I don't like them I don't have to do business with them. Ever had a bad day at work? The boss is grouchy, the co workers are on edge and you can just feel the tension and slice it with a knife? I never have that problem working from home. I have so much more freedom and joy working from home. My family is well cared for and I am right here if there is an emergency. I can take a break any time I like and if I only want to work a few hours I can do that too. I have to keep close track of my budget and make sure I stay on task when I am working so that I am making money and saving it for the bills. But the rewards I get are far more incredible than doing the 9 to 5 thing and having to answer to someone else. Check out some of the companies I work for and read about them in my blog. Try a few of them on for size and see if you too might enjoy being your own boss and setting your own hours and becoming financially free. Not to mention boss free! Why I Work From Home

My family is very important to me and I need to be available for them. My family has many unusual health issues and consequently lots of medical appointments and requirements. I have a daughter in remission from cancer with no adrenal glands. She has to have specific dosages of medications every 8 hours. If she is under any stress I have to "stress" dose her. If she is vomiting or has diarrhea I have an injection she must have. It can become very complicated as to when she needs what or stressed dosed. She also has another condition requiring injections. Its not always easy to give your own child an injection! She is in public school and I have to work very closely with the school nurse to keep her there. My older son, now age 26, has a rare nerve disorder called RSD and is in constant pain. His disease is very mysterious and can cause twitching and other medical anomalies that require him to frequently have help in accomplishing even the simplest tasks. He has good days and bad days. The rest of the family medical issues are relatively minor in comparison. Two with asthma and a few other minor issues.

Its worth it for me as a parent to be available to help my children. Society often looks upon at home moms as an ailment. They seem to forget that in the days of yesteryear this was the norm. As women we can be at home moms and still make a decent income with the dawn of the Internet and telecommuters this becomes more and more possible everyday!

Getting Referrals

The most famous of the questions I am asked is, "How do I get referrals?". I have compiled a few great tips.

Your network list:
Make a list of everyone you know. Family, friends, neighbours, co-workers, the guy or gal at the coffee stand, the grocery store clerk that you always say hi to etc. Okay, now how many people are on your list? Only a few? Then you left someone out. Repeat the process until you have at least 150 people on your list. Now, I want you to learn to make conversation with each and everyone of the people on your list. You just went for coffee, did you ask the guy or gal "how is business going?" or perhaps you could say you really needed this break as business has been booming. Find a way to make them ask you what you do for a living. Tell them how swamped you are and you are looking for competent people to help you and make a few extra dollars without quitting their other job. You get the idea. Ask them if they know anyone that might want to make a few extra dollars each day. Chances are that they know more than one person! Have a business card handy and get them to your website. Speaking of websites, you DO have one, DON'T YOU?....If not, there are some great free sites out there. I use Freewebs.com and love it! Don't forget to add to your list on a daily basis. Surely you meet at least one new person per day.

Forums:
Join a forum, better yet, join 2 or 3. At the bottom of each of your posting in the signature line make sure to reference your website or business. Or add hyperlinks to your favorite GPT sites from your referral information you can access in each of your GPT sites. Talk about how much money you are making on your posts. If there is a special promotion going on talk it up!

Add your website or a referral link to your e-mail signature line also!

Flyers:
Make up some flyers, you know the kind with the tear off strips at the bottom of the page. Use a banner from your GPT site at the top and put your referral link on the bottom tear off strips. Make lots of them and post them on every bulletin board you can find in your town and other towns you might frequent or even just visit on rare occasion.

Business cards:
Go to Vista Print (offer available on many GPT sites) and get some business cards made up. Hand them out to everyone you know. Tell them you have a great business opportunity. Leave them on the table at the diner after you have lunch, leave them on the bathroom counters in public restrooms, leave them everywhere you go.

Paid to click:
Paid to click ads are available on many different sites. (See the left side of this page for Clix Sense and Fairy Tale Treasures to access 2 sites that offer these). Basically you pay them to show your ad for 30 seconds. The people clicking the ad get paid anywhere from .01 to .05 cents per click. Your ad is viewed and frequently you will get some great referrals this way. In the case of Clix Sense, you can view other ads and get paid then convert that money into advertising for your own ad. A great way to save on advertising dollars.

Newspaper ads:
Now I suppose if one is really looking for referrals and desperate they can go to this extreme, advertising their website in the classified section of the paper. You would get a lot of views in the paper and hopefully they would be curious enough to go online to your website. Just remember you will have to pay for the ad whether its viewed or not. Costs will vary on this one.

	I just completed a vibe on get paid to try sites. In it I included 4 links to well known companies that pay well. I have consistently been making at least $50 per month on each of these sites. It takes a few minutes of my time and it is nice to have that extra cash coming in. In reading the recent question on survey sites I have noticed (and heard from people messaging me) that a lot of people are not making money on these sites. I have a website set up with some tricks for making the offers credit as well as the vibe I wrote that has 4 sites that pay well and consistently. I urge you to check those sites out. There are some "fly by night" sites that I won’t even consider and there are a few that it does take me about 2 months to get a pay check from which basically means I get paid every other month from them, but that is still 6 checks per year. Every penny helps. I am not on these sites all day long! I average by popping on and off of the computer throughout the day about 3 to 4 hours total on these sites. Referral’s are also a great way to boost your income through these sites as you get a percentage of their earnings (you do not take it from them, rather the company give’s you a part of what the referral brings to the company.) This is also a great way to boost the earnings. I am happy to answer anyone’s questions regarding these sites.
